    • Even if the host of your Thanksgiving gathering absolutely adores your dog, it’s important not to just assume: your dog is welcome for dinner. Hosting a party, especially a Thanksgiving dinner, can be a particularly stressful time for a host. Adding a potentially unpredictable pup to the mix may not be something your host is thankful for. Other dogs can come too, and too many puppies during a holiday celebration can quickly become a stressful situation for both the host and dog parents. It is also important to be considerate of other guests who may be allergic or afraid of dogs. Be courteous and ask your host well in advance if it is okay for you to bring your dog to the Thanksgiving feast.
