Cincinnati – AND Compassion Award is on its way from PETA to Aaron Kinsel, an employee of the Rumpke company, which offers recycling and recycling services. He was working on the morning of January 27 when he noticed a backpack moving on the side of the road to Coleraine Township.
Inside, he found a sick, frozen puppy. He urgently took her to the veterinary clinic, where they found dehydration and a broken leg, which needed to be amputated. (Rumpke has generously covered the costs.) The dog – a 10 to 12 week old brindle boxer mix that Kinsel named Tipper – is recovering and Kinsel plans to adopt it this weekend.

“This little puppy could easily freeze to death or worse on the side of the road if it weren’t for the compassion and quick action of Aaron Kinsel,” says PETA Vice President Colleen O’Brien. “PETA encourages everyone to follow his example and come to the aid of animals in need, including helping the police to identify the person who brutally and illegally abandoned this dog.”

PETA sends Kinsel a framed certificate, a congratulatory letter, a box of delicious vegan cookies, and a basket of toys and treats for Tipper.
