New York – AND Excellent taste award is on its way from PETA to Halal guys (based in Queens) for a groundbreaking new meat-free gyroscope consisting of vegan “meat” bars, vegetables, spices and dairy-free tzatziki sauce, dressed in warm pita bread and available with creamy eggplant hummus.
“Halal Guys rescues animals, satisfies customers and makes history as the first major fast food chain to offer a vegan gyroscope,” said PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA recognizes this gyroscope genius for taking part in the vegan revolution.”
Every person who goes vegan saves about 200 animals each year; reduces their risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity; dramatically reduces the carbon footprint; and helps prevent future epidemics and pandemics. SARS, swine flu, avian flu, and COVID-19 all arose from keeping and killing animals for food.
Halal Guys joins a long list of fast food companies that are business savvy, including Del Taco, Burger King, Dunkin ‘, Chipotle, Carl’s Jr. and White Castle, which offer delicious vegan food.
The Halal guys will receive an award letter and a framed certificate.
