Walsenburg, Colorado. – PETA is offering rewards up to $ 5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction on charges of cruelty of those responsible for shooting three deer with darts in block 100, E. Sidar Street.

On the morning of April 1, a concerned citizen reported an injured deer in Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The officers found the animals – an adult female with a dart in her front paw and two young females, one shot in the nose and the other in the neck – and managed to inject a sedative and cure two of them. However, the deer ran away with a wound in the neck before she could help.

“Whoever did it, he deliberately inflicted pain and suffering on these animals,” Travis Sauder told PETA to the Colorado Environmental Protection Agency. “This is illegal wildlife pursuit. We take this very seriously. “

“Someone there used a family of gentle deer for shooting training, leaving a frightened young female wounded and alone,” says PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange. “Every animal in Walsenburg is in danger as long as this abuser is at large, and PETA encourages anyone with information to come forward immediately.”

Anyone with advice on this matter should contact Sauder directly at 719-989-1027 or contact Operation Game Thief at 877-265-6648 or [email protected] remain anonymous.

PETA, whose motto is in part that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” is opposed to arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
