PETA has a bone of its own with anyone in a hurry to perform dangerous dog hair dyeing procedures. Dogs trust their human guardians to keep them safe, but they look like Perfect dog can encourage people to treat their canine companions as if they were nothing more than decorative objects, such as ceramic pots. Dyeing can cause severe allergic reactions or stress in dogs. Some animals may even be burned or fatally poisoned by toxins.

The magenta-dyed dog is nearly dying. And PETA found and prosecuted the woman who pierced the kitten’s ears to sell her as a Goth. Enough! Animals are not toys or props. Report a violation! https://t.co/lSMrOzNIZY

    Dogs don’t need to paint

It is so important to remember that dogs are not things, but individuals. They deserve to curl up at home with a loving guardian. No animal should tolerate countertop attachment, coloring and nudging for meaningless “cosmetic” treatment, regardless of breed, character or temperament. To argue that torturing “show dogs” is okay is like justifying the exploitation of “circus elephants.” Dogs are dogs, just like elephants are elephants. Everything animals deserve to live free from the whims of humans.

Dogs are smart and loyal – they’re not here for cheap human entertainment. Shows how Perfect dog may encourage people with no previous pet care experience to reach for a dog hair dye or clipper without hesitation.

Correct, regular grooming is important, but unnatural beauty treatments with companion animals are not necessary, arrogant, and possibly even dangerous.

No animal has a natural desire or need to paint, pierce, tattoo, mutilate, or otherwise modify it to suit human aesthetic preferences. While regular grooming is necessary and important for many pets, unnatural beauty treatments that do not benefit the animal’s health and well-being should never be performed– the risk is too great and there is no need for it. Forcing an animal to endure such suffering is not fashionable – it is offensive.

Think dogs are perfect? Take action to help them!

PETA makes it quick and easy to take action for dogs using your phone or computer. It only takes a minute, so what are you waiting for?
