East Rockaway, NY – Local animal exhibitor Larry Wallach is getting the attention of the federal government, according to a recently released USDA report. The USDA cited Wallach after finding a sloth in and around his cluttered garage with hazards in and around the enclosure that “could harm the animal by burns, broken glass, or electric shock,” and the agency quoted a roadside zoo in Ohio after reporting from PETA that Wallach, holding a stun gun and accompanied by a dog, entered the cage with a young tiger, which he threw there after it outgrew the decrepit cage in which he kept it below the deck of his residence in Nassau County.

“Wherever Larry Wallach goes, there is always the danger of disaster,” says Michelle Sinnott, deputy director of pet law enforcement at the PETA Foundation. “PETA is urging the public to stay away from Wallach and urging authorities to revoke his license before anyone gets hurt by his recklessness.”

The USDA also recently quoted Wallach for an incident in which he took an unbridled tiger cub to a public park and allowed the public to pet and touch the animal. Earlier this year, PETA’s Facebook Live video, one of which depicts Wallah electrocuting a tiger named Shiba, sparked many quotes, including not following veterinary guidelines for treating Sheba’s fractured toe, which resulted in her being is enclosed in an aviary in the damage that caused the floorboards to break, and she and the wolf were at risk of injury by allowing them to interact in dangerous ways.

PETA – whose motto is, in part, that “the animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
