fter a suicide bombing that killed 22 people at her concert in Manchester, UK, last year, singer Ariana Grande has spoken out about suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Yes, it’s real,” Grande noted when asked about the condition in an interview with British Vogue. “I know those families and my fans, and everyone there has been through a lot as well.

“It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such a serious, huge loss…I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience — like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think that one day I’ll know how to talk about it without crying.”

also discussed her anxiety, which she says has had for years, but has gotten worse in recent months. “I think a lot of people have anxiety, especially now,” she noted. “My fear has fear. I’ve always had fear. I never really talked about it because I thought everyone had it but when I got home from the tour [in September] it was the most severe I think it has ever been. Instead of slowing down and going on vacation, Ariana went back to work, as a way of coping. “Everyone thought I was crazy when I got home and wanted to run,” she added.

detonated a bomb as fans left the crowded hall after Grande’s concert.

In May 2018, the singer had a bee tattoo placed behind her ear in memory of the victims of the attack.

Manchester’s emblem features a worker bee, which is widely regarded as an emblem for the city, signifying the city’s industrial background.

Grande first spoke about the attack in an interview with Time magazine last month. “There are so many people who have suffered such loss and pain… The processing part will take forever.”

“Music is supposed to be the safest thing in the world. I think that’s why it still weighs so heavily on my heart every day. I wish there was more I could fix. You think it will become easier to talk about over time. Or you make peace with it. But every day I wait for that peace to come and it’s still very painful,” she added.

Ariana Grande is featured on the cover of the magazine’s July 2018 issue.

The full British Vogue edition will hit the newsstands on June 8th.
