Fall is a great time for both dogs and humans. The leaves are changing colors, the weather is cooling, and there are plenty of new scents to explore too! Every dog should get a few nice, long walks and a lot of playing outside this season.

If you plan on letting your puppy, or even your adult dog, run and play outside this fall season, don’t forget to keep them safe.
Leaves can hide things like animal waste, hazardous waste and food scraps, sharp stones and sticks, and more hazards. Supervise playtime and make sure your dog does not come into contact with any of these items.
Also check your dog for insects such as fleas and ticks after they enter. These pests can hide in leaves and jump on playful puppies.
As long as you take some precautions, your dog can safely enjoy the fall season!
