Washington – PETA called on newly appointed Agriculture Minister Tom Vilsack this morning to prohibit compulsory ‘appraisal contributions’ paid by farmers to continue to support deadly animal experiments funded by various fruit, vegetable and grain research and promotion councils, or audits,’ which are overseen by the Department of Agriculture farms of the United States (USDA).
