Springfield, Missouri – For Valentine’s Day, a new PETA billboard has appeared across the street from the flower shop and next to several barbecue restaurants, warning flower buyers and visitors that meat can affect what happens – or doesn’t – in the bedroom.
“There is nothing romantic about animal suffering, and cholesterol in meat, eggs and dairy products causes hardening of arteries and slows down blood flow to everything organs of the body, not just the heart, ”says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “On PETA’s cheeky billboard, Springfield Valentine’s cards will instantly swap deadly steak on a date for a flamboyant veggie burger.”
Low-fat vegan meals have been shown to address the physical causes of the vast majority of impotence, including high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer or inflammation, and hormonal imbalances. And of course, every person who goes vegan saves almost 200 animals from daily suffering and horrific death every year.
The billboard is located at 1798 S. Grant Ave., across from Flowerama, next to Whole Hog Café, RibCrib BBQ and Buckingham Smokehouse Bar-BQ.
