The promotion began after nearly 150,000 PETA supporters asked Starbucks to stop paying for veganism.
When: Monday, October 18, 8-9 am.
Where: Starbucks, 345 N Saddle Creek Road, Omaha
“Starbucks is counting its beans when it needs to tally the number of customers it will lose if it doesn’t stop raising its vegan milk fees soon,” said PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “People who want to drink responsibly for the sake of animals or their own health, or because they know that dairy farming is fueling the climate crisis, are unhappy with a company that puts profit over ethics.”
PETA also runs vegan coffee drinks outside of Starbucks stores in Loveland, Colorado; New Port Richey, Florida; and several other cities.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority.
