Ottawa – PETA is offering rewards up to $ 5,000 for information leading to the safe return of Ellie, a 14-year-old toy Manchester Terrier who disappeared from his guardian’s car in the parking lot of the Real Canadian Supermarket on Richmond Road around 12:30 pm Sunday, September 26th. Ellie is black with brown paws and was wearing a blue vest at the time. Due to her advanced age, she has vision and hearing problems and is especially vulnerable.
PETA’s offer increases the total bounties required to $ 6,000 as Ellie’s guardian is offering $ 1,000. The police opened a case, but no suspects have been identified.
“The panic and fear that this fragile, elderly dog, separated from her guardian for more than a decade, must feel and everything she knows is hard to imagine,” says Stephanie Bell, PETA’s senior director of cruelty. “PETA is asking everyone who knows something about her disappearance to report it immediately so that she can be returned home safe and sound.”
