Tuckerville, Okla. – The notorious animal exhibitor has been exhibited to help King of tigers thing Jeff Lowe Out of business for good, PETA just filed a petition to intervene as a co-plaintiff in the federal government’s lawsuit against him, his co-defendants and Tiger King Park.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) lawsuit alleges violations of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA), including illegal seizure, storage and transportation of protected animals and the creation of a serious danger to animal health… The preliminary rulings in this case were already largely based on a precedent won by PETA in ESA’s lawsuit against Law’s former business partner Tim Stark of Wildlife in Need. In a Justice Department lawsuit, among other forms of defense, defendants must waive all federally protected species in their possession. If granted the right to co-plead, PETA will work to ensure that everything the animals under the control of the respondents have been transferred to facilities of good repute.

“All the animals that survived at Lowe deserve the opportunity to live more natural lives in a safe and comfortable environment,” said PETA Captive Law Enforcement Deputy General Counsel Brittany Peet, speaking on TV King of tigers… “You should never let Lowe exploit animals again.”

Lowe has already lost the USDA’s AWA license revocation lawsuit and is still facing a federal ESA lawsuit from PETA in the Southern District of Indiana. Last year, PETA and the Colorado Wildlife Sanctuary rescued three young lions from his care.

PETA – whose motto is partly that “animals are not ours to be used for entertainment” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human excellence. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
