In most countries of the world, plastic bags are winter gardens, that is, packaging. Many women use it in the market to package their condiments.

In a supermarket, grocery store, bookstore, restaurant, pharmacy, canteen, etc. Purchases are stored in these plastic bags. However, these objects can have harmful effects not only on the environment, but also on our health.

    Environment at risk

Plastic is a real threat to the environment. In addition to being abused, he is thrown anywhere: into gutters, on the ground, say everywhere.

In the gutters, prevents the passage of rainwater. As a result, rainwater, which sees that its path is blocked, clears a path different from the path that was made for it, and spreads everywhere, causing flooding.

The Abidjan region falls victim to this fact every year during the rainy season, which is responsible for many deaths and destruction.

Even if this is not the only reason, clogging of gutters with bags and sachets is a serious factor in flood cases.

Plastic contamination and the threat to species

Most plastic bags are made from polyethylene, a material derived from petroleum. They are durable, reusable, lightweight, waterproof … I must say that the invention is practical. However, mass production of plastic bags is depleting natural oil reserves; fossil fuels that nature took millions of years to produce.

    Visual pollution

Plastic bags are easy to fly, so they will hang on trees and flood wasteland.

Pollution of the sea and rivers

Packets that enter the ocean or rivers are hazardous to marine animals.

The bags kill animals every year. More than 100,000 marine animals are estimated, including turtles; die in a plastic bag or after swallowing floating waste, mistaking it for prey. Plastic alone accounts for 60 to 80% of the waste at sea.

Thrown in the open air, these bags can kill several animals.

In fact, in search of food, these animals can ingest these non-biodegradable sachets; the more they accumulate in the stomach; the closer these animals are to their death.

They clog gutters and sewers, causing sewage overflow, which is a source of disease.

It takes about 400 years for plastic bags to decompose and probably more time in sea pits where there is light; do not reach, but even there they turn into toxic particles that pollute soil and water and enter the food chain; when animals accidentally eat them.
They are based on the use of oil, a non-renewable resource.

On top of all this, these sachets used to store juices or other baby foods can be a source of great damage. Because children trying to eat directly in these plastics can swallow the pieces, which can cause countless damage to their health. Considering all these hazards, it is necessary to save effort in replacing or preserving these sachets.
