The Halal Guys is a chain restaurant that started out as a grocery cart in New York and sold authentic American halal food to Muslim taxi drivers. The Halal Guys responded to the growing demand for vegan food with the launch of Gyro Meatless, a limited-time offering made up of pea protein, brown rice, beetroot, mushrooms, coconut oil and a proprietary spice blend. It is fried on a skewer, shaved and served on a rice-based plate or sandwich with a lavash wrapper. The chain has also created a unique vegan tzatziki sauce made from aquafaba or chickpea water. Meat-free gyro dish *
This dish consists of a rice bowl topped with low-fat gyroscope, lettuce and tomato stuffed of your choice, and vegan tzatziki sauce. All additional ingredients are vegan, with the exception of the white sauce. Tip: If you prefer the low-carb option, ask for more salad instead of rice.
Meatless Gyro Sandwich *
This sandwich includes warm pita bread filled with low-fat gyroscope, lettuce, tomatoes and toppings of your choice with vegan tzatziki sauce. All additional ingredients are vegan, with the exception of the white sauce.
Falafel platter
For this option, you will receive a rice bowl topped with crunchy falafel, lettuce, and filled tomatoes of your choice. Don’t ask for white sauce to make this offer vegan
