“It was a successful weekend in the fight to keep our rhinos alive in the park. On Sunday, following the discovery of another intrusion during routine patrols, the rangers tracked the trail until they came into contact with a group of three suspected poaching, who were subsequently arrested in the Pretoriuskop section of the park. “We hope the arrests will serve as a convincing signal to poachers that we are determined to stop them on their way to the park. SANParks is committed to working more with law enforcement and communities outside the park to intensify efforts to combat crime syndicates leading these crimes.
“Only through discipline, teamwork and perseverance will we be able to stop the wave of rhino poaching in KNP.
